We've started this site as an affordable solution to learning and training for everyone and anyone working in content.  And these days, if you're on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Netflix or have your own blog or Website, that's you!

Q:  Do I need to register for the live webinars?
A:  We’re glad you asked!  Yes, you must register every time.  For the time being, we’re using a third-party tool to conduct our interactive webinars, and that requires additional registration.  We know that’s not ideal, and we apologize in advance.

Q:  What about live chats - do I need to register for that?
A:   Nope! As long as you’re signed on to Knowledgewebb, you don’t need to register additionally.

Q:  Who do I contact if I have technical problems using the site?
A:  Please email problem@knowledgewebb.net and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

Q:  I’ve thought of, like, 15 tech terms that should be on your glossary but aren’t.  How can I get you to include ‘em?
A:  Please email ideas@knowledgewebb.net and we’ll definitely get those terms in the glossary asap.  If you have ideas for classes, want us to interview someone or just have some suggestions, email those too!

Q:  I really wish you had a self-directed lesson/ tipsheet/ worksheet on X.  Any chance you’ll create one for me?
A:  Absolutely - and at no additional charge to you!  If there’s something you’d like to learn that isn’t currently listed in the Learn Stuff Now database, please let us know!  We’ll create whatever it is and post it as soon as we can. Email ideas@knowledgewebb.net.

Q:  How you pick those Experts of yours?
A:  We recognize that there are a lot of people out there who know lots of stuff about technology.  We’ve selected our Experts on the basis of their knowledge, their contribution to digital media/ mobile/ Internet law/ journalism/ PR/ communications and their willingness to work with us.  We’re not paying the Experts.

Over time, some of our Experts may leave - and we may add new folks to the group. However all of the live chat transcripts and Smart Room discussions will always stay active.

Billing Stuff...
Q:  Are you keeping my credit card info on file and selling it to the Russian mob?
A:  Nah - they scare us.  We’re trying to keep your information safe and our tech overhead streamlined.  For that reason, the only information we’re keeping on file is what you create in your profile and anything you contribute to the site in our smart rooms, chats and webinars. When your annual membership runs out, you’ll need to re-enter your credit card information again. This also means that we don't do recurring charges - so you won't need to worry about seeing lots of Knowledgewebb bills unless you choose to re-up in a year. (Same goes for our initial beta groups, too!)

Q:  Who do I call about billing questions?
A:   We’re here M-F 10am to 4pm Eastern time.  Give us a ring then and we’ll get you squared away:  267-342-4300. Please note, this phone line is only for billing questions. We won’t be able to answer any technical issues on that line.

Q:  Knowledgewebb turned out not to be my cup of tea. Now what?
A:  We understand - no hard feelings.  Since we’re not doing a month-to-month service, we’ll have to pro-rate your account and cut you a check.  Full months will be billed in advance, so if you started your membership April 15, 2009 and ended it Sept. 20th, 2009, we’ll charge you the full months of April and September and refund you for the time period between Oct. ’09 - April ’10.

Send your full name, your username, the email address you used to register for the site, your full mailing address and your telephone number to:  billing@knowledgewebb.net. Allow 8-10 weeks for us to cut and deliver you a refund check.

This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions that govern your access and use of Knowledgewebb.com (hereinafter "KW") and its affiliates and subsidiaries, (collectively the "Site").

    PLEASE READ THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE ACCESSING OR USING THE SITE. By using the Site, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth below.  If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions, you may not access or use the site and should immediately cease such use.  KW may modify this agreement at any time and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting of the modified agreement on the site.  You agree to review the agreement periodically to be aware of such modifications and your continued access or use of the site shall be deemed your conclusive acceptance of the modified agreement.
    This Agreement includes KW's Privacy Policy and any specific terms on individual KW Web sites owned and operated by KW and/or Webbmedia Group, LLC, each of which is incorporated into this Agreement in its entirety by reference, to which you are indicating your agreement and acceptance to be bound by the provisions thereof, by way of your use of the Site.

    1. Copyright, Licenses and Idea Submissions.

    Domestic and International copyright and trademark laws protect the entire contents of the Site. The owners of the intellectual property, copyrights and trademarks are KW, its affiliates and subsidiaries or other third party licensors. YOU MAY NOT MODIFY, COPY, REPRODUCE, REPUBLISH, UPLOAD, POST, TRANSMIT, OR DISTRIBUTE, IN ANY MANNER, THE MATERIAL ON THE SITE, INCLUDING TEXT, GRAPHICS, CODE AND/OR SOFTWARE.

    Subject to more specific terms on individual KW Web sites, you may print and download portions of material from the different areas of the Site solely for your own non-commercial use provided that you agree not to change or delete any copyright or proprietary notices from the materials (certain areas require paid license fees prior to downloading any material). Any material printed or downloaded by you from the Site, including, without limitation, any text, files, images, software, and data accompanying the foregoing is licensed to you by Knowledgewebb and its parent company, Webbmedia Group, LLC. Printing or downloading the material does not transfer title to the material, or any intellectual property rights therein, to you. You may not redistribute or sell the material.

    Subject to more specific terms on the KW Web site, you may post and submit certain information and content to the Site. You agree to grant to KW a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sub licensable, perpetual license, with the right to sub-license, to reproduce, distribute, transmit, create derivative works of, publicly display and publicly perform any materials and other information (including, without limitation, ideas contained therein for new or improved products and services) you submit to any public areas of the Site (such as bulletin boards, forums and newsgroups) or by e-mail to KW by all means and in any media now known or hereafter developed. You also grant to KW the right to use your name in connection with the submitted materials and other information as well as in connection with all advertising, marketing and promotional material related thereto. You agree that you shall have no recourse against KW for any alleged or actual infringement or misappropriation of any proprietary right in your communications to KW.

    If you believe that content appearing on the Site constitutes copyright infringement of another party's rights, please follow the instructions on our Copyrights Web page.

    KW may use the information it obtains as a result of your registration with the Site, including but not limited to your IP address, name, mailing address, and email address for its internal business purposes and may disclose the information to third parties for such purposes pursuant to KW's Privacy Policy.

    2. Trademarks.

    Knowledgewebb, Thinkwebb, Webbthink, Webbmedia, Webbmedia Group and/or any other names of KW, or its Web sites, seminars, conferences, events, publications, products, content or services referenced herein or on the Site are the exclusive trademarks or service marks of Webbmedia Group, including the "look" and "feel" of the knowledgewebb.net, knowledgewebb.org, knowledgewebb.webbmediagroup.com, webbmediagroup.com, thinkwebb.com, thinkwebb.net, thinkwebb.org and webbthink.com’s color combinations, layout, and all other graphical elements. Any use of Webbmedia Group’s trademarks is strictly prohibited without the express permission from KW/ Webbmedia Group, LLC. Other product and company names mentioned in the Site may be the trademarks of their respective owners.

    3. Use of the Site.

    You understand that, except for information, products or services clearly identified as being supplied by KW, KW does not operate, control or endorse any information, products or services on the Site or Internet in any way. Except for KW identified information, products or services, all information, products and services offered through the Site or on the Internet generally are offered by third parties that are not affiliated with KW or Webbmedia Group, LLC and do not represent or reflect the opinions or interests of KW or Webbmedia Group, LLC or any of their respective officers, directors, members, employees, agents, licensors or suppliers. You also understand that KW cannot and does not guarantee or warrant that files available for downloading through the Site will be free of infection or viruses, worms, Trojan horses or other code that manifest contaminating or destructive properties. You are responsible for implementing sufficient procedures and checkpoints to satisfy your particular requirements for accuracy of data input and output, and for maintaining a means external to the Site for the reconstruction of any lost data.

    KW offers a search feature within the Site. KW explicitly disclaims any responsibility for the content or availability of information contained in our search index or directory. KW also disclaims any responsibility for the completeness or accuracy of any directory or search result.

    In connection with your use of the Site, you agree you will not:

          a) Transmit any message, information, data, text, software or images, or other content ("Material") that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, or otherwise objectionable, or that may invade another's right of privacy or publicity;

          b) Impersonate any person or entity, including but not limited to, a KW official, forum leader, guide or host or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;

          c) Post or transmit any Material that you do not have a right to reproduce, display or transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as nondisclosure agreements);

          d) Post or transmit any Material that contains a virus or corrupted data;

          e) Delete any author attributions, legal notices or proprietary designations or labels that you upload to any communication feature;

          f) Use the Site's communication features in a manner that adversely affects the availability of its resources to other users (e.g., excessive shouting, use of all caps, or flooding continuous posting of repetitive text);

          g) Post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail", "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes" or any other form of solicitation or any non-resume information such as opinions or notices, commercial or otherwise;

          h) Violate any applicable local, state, national or international law;

          i) Upload or transmit any Material that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any person or party;

          j) Delete or revise any Material posted by any other person or entity;

          k) Manipulate or otherwise display the Site by using framing or similar navigational technology, or

          l) Register, subscribe, attempt to register, attempt to subscribe, unsubscribe, or attempt to unsubscribe, any party for any Webbmedia Group/ KW product or service if you are not expressly authorized by such party to do so.

    YOU ASSUME TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY AND RISK FOR YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND THE INTERNET. Webbmedia Group and Knowledgewebb provides the site and related information "as is" and does not make any express or implied warranties, representations or endorsements whatsoever (including without limitation warranties of title or noninfringement, or the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) with regard to the site, any merchandise, information, service or transaction provided through the site or on the internet generally, and Knowledgewebb shall not be liable for any cost of damage arising either directly or indirectly from your use of the site, third party tools or applications used on the site or from your use of any such merchandise, information, service or transaction. IT IS SOLELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO EVALUATE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS AND USEFULNESS OF ALL OPINIONS, ADVICE, SERVICES, MERCHANDISE AND OTHER INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SITE OR ON THE INTERNET GENERALLY.

    LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

    IN NO EVENT WILL WEBBMEDIA GROUP, LLC/KW BE LIABLE FOR (I) ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INDIRECT DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF PROGRAMS OR INFORMATION, AND THE LIKE) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, ANY MERCHANDISE, INFORMATION, SERVICE, OR TRANSACTIONS PROVIDED ON THE SITE, OR DOWNLOADED FROM THE SITE, OR ANY DELAY OF SUCH INFORMATION OR SERVICE. EVEN IF KW OR ITS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR (II) ANY CLAIM ATTRIBUTABLE TO ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR OTHER INACCURACIES IN THE SITE, ANY MERCHANDISE, INFORMATION, SERVICE, TRANSACTION AND/OR MATERIALS PROVIDED OR DOWNLOADED THROUGH THE SITE. BECAUSE SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH STATES, KW'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

    4. Equipment.

    You shall be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all telephone, computer hardware and other equipment needed for access to and use of the Site and all charges related thereto.

    5. Indemnification and Reservation of Rights.

    You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless  Webbmedia Group, LLC and KW, and their respective officers, directors, members, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers and any third party information providers to the Site from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of this Agreement (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or your use and access of the Site.

    KW reserves the right to release current or past member or Web site user information if KW believes that a member's account is being used to commit unlawful acts, if the information is subpoenaed or otherwise required by court order or other law to be released and/or if KW deems it necessary and/or appropriate.

    6. Third Party Rights.

    The provisions of paragraphs 3 (Use of the Site), and 5 (Indemnification) are for the benefit of Webbmedia Group, LLC and KW and their respective officers, directors, members, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers, and any third party information providers to the Site. Each of these individuals or entities shall have the right to assert and enforce those provisions directly against you on its own behalf.

    7.Term; Termination.

    Either party without notice may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason. The provisions of paragraphs 1 (Copyright, Licenses and Idea Submissions), 3 (Use of the Site), 5 (Indemnification and Reservation of Rights), 6 (Third Party Rights) and 12 (Miscellaneous) shall survive any termination of this Agreement. KW reserves the right to terminate this Agreement without notice if, in KW's sole discretion, you fail to comply with any of the terms of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must destroy all materials obtained from the Site, copies, and related documentation.

    8. Special Terms for International Use.

    Recognizing the global nature of the Internet, you agree to comply with all local rules including, without limitation, rules about the Internet, data, e-mail, or privacy. Specifically, you agree to comply with all applicable laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from the United States or the country in which you reside. Software or other goods from the Site is subject to United States export controls. No software or other goods from the Site may be downloaded or otherwise exported or re-exported (i) into (or to a national or resident of) Cuba, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Iran, Syria, or any other country to which the U.S. has embargoed goods; or (ii) to anyone on the U.S. Treasury Department's list of Specially Designated Nationals or the U.S. Commerce Department's Table of Deny Orders. By downloading or using any software or other goods from the Site, you represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any such country or on any such list.

    9. Dealings with Third Parties.

    Your participation, correspondence or business dealings with any third party found on or through the Site, regarding the payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and such third party. You agree that Webbmedia Group, LLC and  KW shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage or other matters of any sort incurred as the result of any such dealings.

    10. Links.

    The Site may provide, or third parties may provide, links to non-KW Internet Web sites or resources as a convenience to you ("Third-Party Sites"). Because KW has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that KW is not responsible for the availability of such Third-Party Sites or resources, and does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or resources. Links to Third-Party Sites are not endorsements by KW of such Third-Party Sites. You further acknowledge and agree that KW shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such Third Party Site or resource.

    11. Web Site Security Rules.

    You are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the Site, including, without limitation, (a) accessing data not intended for you or logging into a server or account which you are not authorized to access, (b) attempting to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without proper authorization, (c) attempting to interfere with service to any user, host or network, including, without limitation, via means of submitting a virus to the Web Site, overloading, "flooding", "mailbombing" or "crashing", or (d) sending unsolicited e-mail, including promotions and/or advertising of products or services, or (e) forging any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any e-mail, forum, or newsgroup posting. Violations of system or network security may result in civil or criminal liability. KW will investigate occurrences which may involve such violations and may involve, and cooperate with, law enforcement authorities in prosecuting those who are involved in such violations.

    12. Miscellaneous.

    This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States applicable to agreements made and to be performed in the State of Maryland, United States. You agree that any legal action or proceeding between KW and you for any purpose concerning this Agreement or the parties' obligations hereunder shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in the County or City of Baltimore, State of Maryland, United States and you hereby expressly consent to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of these courts. This Agreement contains the entire understanding of the parties hereto relating to the use of this Site and supersedes any prior written or oral agreement or understandings between the parties with respect to this Site. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of this Agreement will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of this Agreement.

    Any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to the Site must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises or such claim or cause of action is barred. KW's failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor trade practice shall act to modify any provision of this Agreement. KW may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to you.

    Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

   
PRIVACY POLICY     
     We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. That is why we have adopted this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy lets you know how your personal information is processed and explains data collection and use practices for the Knowledgewebb Network. The "KW Network" includes all Web pages, newsletters, webinars, live chats, tipsheets, how-to guides, videos, multimedia content, podcasts, discussion forums and lists and opt-in announcement lists owned or operated by Knowledgewebb and its parent company, Webbmedia Group, LLC and each of its wholly-owned subsidiaries (collectively the "Site") home page (collectively hereafter "KW"). By accessing the KW Network, you are consenting to the information collection and use practices described in this Privacy Policy.
     We use IP information to examine our traffic in aggregate, and to investigate misuse of the KW Network, its users, or to cooperate with law enforcement. We do not collect and evaluate this information for specific individuals. Our Web servers do not automatically record e-mail addresses of the visitors.
     From time to time, KW or its advertisers may send a "cookie" to your computer. A cookie is a small piece of data that is sent to your Internet browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. A cookie can't read data off of your computer hard disk or read cookie files created by other Web sites. Cookies do not damage your system. We use cookies to identify which areas of KW's Network you have visited or customized, so the next time you visit, those pages may be readily accessible. Our advertisers may also use cookies to ascertain how many times you've seen an advertisement. Our advertisers and we may use this information to better personalize the content, banners, and promotions that you see on our Site. You can choose whether to accept cookies by changing the settings of your Internet browser. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies, or allow your browser to show you when a cookie is being sent. If you choose not to accept these cookies, your experience at our Site and other Web sites may be diminished and some features may not work as intended.
     Wherever KW collects personal information we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy. We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you. The personal information we collect may include your name, title, company or organization name, e-mail address, phone number, work or home address, information about your job function, information about your company, and credit card information.
     If you are purchasing something, including your membership, on the KW Network, we, and any third party provider, need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number and expiration date. This allows us, or third party providers, to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status. Credit card information is not stored by KW.  Therefore, if you choose to leave KW and terminate your membership but plan to renew it, you will need to input your credit card information again.  If you choose to renew your membership, you will likewise be required to re-enter your credit card information every year. Credit card and e-mail information will not be shared or sold to third parties for any purpose. Additionally, we do not keep any credit card information on file.
     When you sign up for a KW smart room, your name or alias is recorded solely for purposes of maintaining your own account within the forums. This information is not used to monitor your activity within a forum, nor is it used to identify you outside the KW network.
     We maintain a strict "No-Spam" policy that means that we do not sell, rent, or otherwise give your e-mail address to a third-party.
     If you use KW's smart rooms, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these discussion threads. In order to avoid your e-mail address or other personal information from being gathered and used by others for inappropriate or harmful purposes, KW advises that you should be cautious about posting a real e-mail address or other personal information to newsgroups, chats, or other public forums.
     Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online - for example through e-mail, smart rooms, or elsewhere - that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
     KW uses a shopping cart feature that safeguards this information by using industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encrypted servers. SSL codes the information transferred between you and the server, rendering it unreadable to anyone trying to intercept the information.
     Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your personal information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online.

Your Consent To This Agreement
     By using the KW Network, you consent to the collection and use of information by KW as specified above. We reserve the right to modify this Policy. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
